Winter in Vercland and Samoens

Chez Nicoud is situated in the quiet hamlet of Vercland, 3 minutes walk from the ski lift which links to the Grand Massif ski area and only 5 minutes drive from Samoens. The Grand Massif is one of the biggest ski areas in the Alps with a huge selection of runs and a superb snow record. Jump on the ski lift and you'll be whisked from the chalet, ready for the day's skiing.

From scenic greens to testing blacks, the Grand Massif really is a ski area for all abilities. There is a great variety offered by the 51 reds and 53 blues. Novices will enjoy finding their feet in a user-friendly beginners' area, before taking their pick of the 15 greens. For the more experienced, there are no less than 14 blacks as well as extensive off piste opportunities. There is also a dedicated children's ski area.

For snowboarders, as well as all the on piste action, there's plenty of exciting off piste on offer. If airtime is your thing, check out the three snow parks with bumps, jumps, rails and tables.

Try cross-country skiing for something a little different, there
are extensive trails which is a great way to exercise and explore
